The new state standard of Ukraine provides the legal use of personal car license plates as the additional to the main registered number plates. Owners of a vehicle can make such exclusive number plates by their own design. Name number plates usually contain various letter combinations, or any symbolism that emphasizes the personality of the owner. They can be used only in Ukraine, in other states they are invalid.

Nominal number plates are made officially: the client receives a set of license plates and a letter from the GSC Ministry of Internal Affairs stating the registration number for the car.

Name number plates are issued only to the owner of the car.

After receiving the nominal number and letter to the client, it is necessary to replace the registration certificate in the territorial Service Center at the place of vehicle registration. After the replacement, the registration certificate will be stamped on the individual number.

Name number is assigned to the owner forever. It can also be re-secured for another car.

Name number is an additional number to the state number, which is issued during registration. Constantly carry with them state number plates do not need. When traveling abroad it is necessary to use state number plates.

In addition to a set of registered number plates, you can also order a rear "square" number for American cars. It is paid additionally, according to the tariff for American number plates.

Valid combinations for numbered number plates

  • The number may contain Russian, Ukrainian and Latin letters, number plates and spaces;

  • A number can have a maximum of five digits;

  • The number should not imitate official state number plates (2 letters + 4 number plates + 2 letters), for example: AA5555KN, or AA0001BP;
  • The number should not imitate previously issued number plates (ХХХ 1234, 12345 ХХ), for example, in the times of the USSR;
  • The number should not begin with a code denoting administrative and territorial affiliation, for example, a region (AA, BH, AM, AP ...) followed by digits (AA 1111);
  • The number should not begin with OO, II, I, BP, KM, SBU, i.e. repeat the abbreviations used by state and security forces;
  • The number can not contain only number plates, it must contain at least two letters;
  • The number must not contain obscene or discriminatory inscriptions.

    In 2012, he was removed from GOST. Therefore, it can only be used by the client at its own risk.
